Lowes Foods - Meat Review from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina
1 comment
Went into Lowes foods tonight. Supposedly 25% off sale on meats.
Can we say price fixing !!!! I was so shocked by the before prices of the meats, since I had shopped there a week ago. This is illegal to me and I will never shop at Lowes foods again. Example $9.99 lb for stew beef?
5.99 lb for pork chops?
The list goes on. I will be reporting this.
Reason of review: Pricing issue.

Yes. Anybody can say "price fixing" even if they don't know what it means.
Price fixing is where a group of competing retailers agrees to fix prices at a high level so no matter where you go the price is high and the same as anywhere else. This is so that the consumer is forced to pay those prices particularly if they have no mode of transportation to seek other retailers. This targets poor people particularly.
What you describe is prices that you don't like - not a crime. Shop around as nobody is forcing you to pay those prices.
